• Contact form. When you submit the form on our Contact page, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, and message, plus any optional company, phone number, inquiry type, and availability you choose to share.
• Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to our updates, we collect your email address so we can send a confirmation link and, once you confirm, our newsletter.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and analytics data. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, pages viewed and general location). This relies on cookies — see “Cookies and your choices” below. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
• Server and security data. Our hosting and anti-spam providers automatically process technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse of our forms.

• Google Analytics — website usage analytics (loaded only with your consent).
• Mailgun — delivery of contact-form submissions to our inbox.
• Ghost — management of newsletter subscriptions and confirmation emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — verifying that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies and your choices

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. When you first visit, we show a banner asking whether you consent to analytics cookies. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) load only if you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer. The cookies strictly necessary to operate the site and secure our forms do not require consent. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies at all, so it does not depend on this choice.

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and to maintain business records. We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in any newsletter email. We retain analytics data in accordance with Google Analytics' default retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email us at james@infinitelymanyhats.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
